Closed due to health code violations. Roaches, black mold, unsanitary employees... So glad I did not fall for the good rating.

For the quality- the price is slightly higher. The beans and rice could use some salt, cause there isnt any in my opinion. Regular tacos tasting good. Also google shows the wrong location, its in the bottom floor of the mall right by subway.

Fish tacos are great and the steak quesadilla is delicious. These are my favorites!

Was going to try them, but apparently employee parking is more important in this strip mall than customer parking. I get it, a lot of people walk there, i get that, but there was ample EMPLOYEE parking available, but ZERO customer parking. I typically can't stand reviews when there is a manufacturing defect unit someone reviews, or reviews from people that haven't been there, but this was worth mentioning, good luck parking.

I would recommend Ohana Tacos to anyone who loves shrimp and fish tacos! They were quick, friendly and the food was delicious! The tacos are served with beans and rice, your choice, white rice or Spanish and refrigerate or black beans! Delicious filling meal!

I am Mexican & am embarrassed that this is called Mexican food. I understand Americanizing the food just like it is done from any other culture, but this is just down right sad.The food is extremely bland. There is zero flavor or passion put into this food. I can't believe I had to travel to Maui to find the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my life.

We’ve eaten at some of the most expensive restaurants in Maui and this has been our fave of the whole trip! The flavors and sauce are top quality, the service was fast, and I’d come back for more at the next meal.

Famous fish taco- Large piece of fish. Minimal cabbage, nothing else $6. Great reviews but I was underwhelmed.

Got the Taco Plate to try 3 meats. All very mediocre. Service was quick and kind. Rice was bland. My buddy got the fish tacos and was a little more satisfied than myself. Two taco places in one shopping center and we were told we chose the wrong one.

Best Shrimp Tacos in Kaanapali / Lahaina?

On vacation in Maui staying at the Kaanapali Beach Club down the street from Ohana Tacos. We were in the mood for some tacos as we've been here before in prior years. Closed due to failed health inspection... roach infestation. Huge red Dept of Health failure sticker on the front window. Lost my craving for fish tacos real quick. Saw it on the evening news as well. Looks like they failed an initial inspection on 8/24/19 and a reinspection a few days later. Tourists beware!***********August 24, 2019"The state Department of Health has closed Ohana Tacos in Lahaina, Maui due to an “extensive roach infestation.”The DOH Sanitation Branch issued a red closed placard at 3600 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Suite A after health inspectors observed numerous food safety violations during a routine inspection Thursday.Officials observed live roaches in and around the meat slicer, hot-holding unit, packages of food skewers, food service plates, dish storage area, and hand washing sink."

Closed. There's an expensive Italian restaurant there now

After having their ono fish tacos once we've been back two more times and ordered the same thing. Simple, delicious and spiced just right. You won't be disappointed!

Fish taco: four star - fresh! Shrimp taco: three star - ho-hum. Coconut shrimp: a little greasy and just ok - not fresh. Fries ok - not fresh cut. I’d eat it again but will probably try to find somewhere else.

Great food but tiny ,not much space to sit

Everyone recommends the ono fish tacos and they didn’t disappoint. Flavorful and light. Also had their carnitas taco. Overall a bit salty, but good.

Incredible food. Very authentic. The shredded chicken was amazing and full of flavor; it wasn't dry which is rare. We went twice! The second time we arrived quite close to closing time (we didn't realize it until we had ordered) and the staff was still friendly and fast. Highly recommended!

If you like roach tacos this is the place for you 😂

Holy nuts, the tacos are just crazy good. Ask about their specialties and just blindly order what they recommend, like I did. Wow, that churizo fajita thing was the best.

The crunchy (chicken) tacos were quite good. The rice and beans were ok, not much flavor and pretty small portions.

5 stars for a fast food taco joint. Sometimes the staff is very friendly, but sometimes there is a girl who works her that seems slightly disgruntled (a common enough occurrence on Maui).The food is always good and fresh. It is less crowded than The Fish Market in the same shopping center, but at least as good.Fish burrito was not on the menu, but they made it for me anyway, and it was very good. Fish tacos, and other burritos are also very good. There's a nice selection of salsa as well.

We wanted to have something a bit different (and cheaper) from all the standardized food available in surrounding restaurants. We had some wonderful burritos. The service is great and done with a 100% genuine smile. Will come back for sure.

Maui News reports Ohana Tacos has been forced to close yesterday August 23rd by Health Dept inspection after finding gross levels of cockroach infestation. Please dine somewhere else.

Wasn't anything great. We had the fish tacos shrimp tacos and a shredded beef burrito. All the tacos had too much liquid in them really. Rice was decent with it and chips were average. Not a bad place to grab something if you are there but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Great Ono fish tacos! Service was great. This is a great option for take out if staying in a hotel or condo nearby as well.

Honestly, I had a lot expectation, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and good quality of the food. We had the fajita and tacos. This a good alternative to fast food where you can get a quick bite you eat but avoid all the fat food issues. It gets a 4 stars for its category.

These fish tacos are the best I have found anywhere on Maui, even better than the fish market just down the street, seriously the combo of fish and the white tomatillo fish sauce..... If I could buy that sauce I would...... Been 3 times now and has not disappointed... They are so good I haven't gotten anything else on the menu.

On our recent trip to Maui we decided to try the highly recommended Ohana tacos. We arrived and ordered the fish tacos and a carne asada plate. The fish tacos were ok at best and the carne asada plate had no flavor. The beans and rice tasted as if they had not been cooked with salt and appeared more like left overs from the previous day. We also purchased an orchata drink, which also tasted watered down. I highly recommend this establishment reconsider the quality of their food and make a needed effort to provide a better product.

Had the asada burrito and it was the real deal. As good as most places in Arizona. Staff was awesome. Ate there three times while in Maui. Thanks man.

I would easily put on 10lb for these tacos. Fast and friendly service, great for my first real meal while in town!

Get the Ono Fish tacos and add the green sauce for heat. Good stuff and reasonably priced. Also a good place to go if you are wet and sandy from the beach

We stopped for quick lunch on our arrival to Maui. The hubby had Ono Ceviche, he was blown with the flavour and announced its the best Ceviche he has ever had. I had the veggie quesadila and it's one of the best I have had. Thumbs up to this gem.

Great gluten free selection. Price is about average for Hawaii.... 3 plates for just under 50$
